Often identified as a “Strategic Marketing Maestro”, Jay was a ‘growth hacker’ before that term became industry jargon. In his first career, Jay was a equities and derivatives trader and a floor member of (3) major financial exchanges including NYSE, Cboe and the American Stock Exchange. Each of those roles required constant curating of news, information and streams of market data, all while making dozens of calculated, risk-reward decisions every day. After two decades serving in senior financial industry roles, including one where Jay reported directly to the executive committee of one of the world’s biggest banks, Jay migrated to the world of business leadership. By extension, Jay provides start-up advisory, capital formation, brand marketing and strategic corporate positioning services.
In addition to having a broad network of professional relationships, Jay is a trusted consigliere to a discrete universe of CEOs whose companies operate within financial service silos, innovative technology landscapes and those advancing entrepreneurial initiatives within the framework of “martech,” “medtech,” “blocktech,” location-based entertainment, consumer products, and professional service industries.
Because Jay has traversed a universe of corporate portals and fast-growth start-up cubicles, his experience and knowledge base provides The JLC Group client/partners with a unique combination of seasoned business experience and sage insight, due-diligence disciplines, door-opening to influencers prowess and deal-closing talents.
Jay’s stand-out, “madmen-style” brand positioning toolkit has been embraced by CMOs of major corporations and a broad spectrum of market-disrupting startup enterprises.
No “shrinking violet”, Jay is a recognized thought-leader who is relied upon by top-gun CEOs and startup entrepreneurs across multiple industries. A widely-regarded pundit, Jay is also a contributor to major publications, author of numerous research studies and white papers, and he is widely-followed across multiple social media outlets, including Twitter: MarCom201, CFORaiseMoney and MarketsMuse.
